Can You See The Lord?

How are you doing?

Are you ok?

I really want to know.

Are you still searching?

I really want to know.

I spent much time chasing all that my flesh desired too.

I wanted what I wanted and chased after what fed my desires.

Then God.

God took me by the Word-Jesus my savior and my Lord-He knew I was chasing

down that wide path.

God took me by the heart, with his mercy and grace.

God awoke me to His wisdom and changed what I desired.

How are you doing?

Are you ok?

What are you chasing?

What and who do you worship?

We all worship ourselves and chase what our flesh desires.

Then God.

How are you doing?

Can I help?

Life Here on Earth

Life is short.

Even if given 120 years on Earth-when you reach that year-it may still feel like it all went by so fast.

What matters most when 120, 99, 89, or sadly even fewer years go by before we pass?

Will how much money you have at that point matter most?

Will your job titles matter most?

Will how many cars, houses, and boats you own matter most?

Will how many vacations you took during your life on Earth matter most?

Will how many children or grandchildren you have matter most?

Will the way you lived and how you chose to interact with other human beings matter to you in that last year of your life?

Will the legacy: the memories those around you have of you after you pass from the Earth be of integrity, honesty, love, and commitment?

Is this your greatest desire in life?

Why wouldn’t it be? Right?

Do we as humans live in perfect integrity, honesty, love, and commitment all the days of our lives?

If we are honest at this moment: the answer is a resounding NO for all of us humans: we do not live even a day on this planet with even an ounce of perfection.

No: not us: but there is One who did and his sacrifice on the cross is what makes it possible to change our flesh-serving ways: our pride-of-life, dishonesty, hatred, laziness, gluttony, greed, and every other sin of the flesh.

Only through God’s mercy and grace through his son Jesus Christ do we have the ability and strength to live our lives free from the bondage of our sinful flesh.

Only through God’s mercy and grace through his son Jesus Christ do we have the ability and strength to deny our flesh and live in the Spirit which is: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

Thank you God for giving us your Son-that we might have eternal life with you and life abundant now-living in your Holy Spirit here on Earth.

All the little children

They ought to be protected-all the little children. This needed protection starts in the womb of their mother where their heart first starts beating, where they try out their little arms and legs-jabbing you from the inside to let you know they are there and healthy and getting stronger every day and showing just how fully human they are also-just still tiny in size and therefore needing you to get ready to give them your best! This small, vulnerable life is a gift to you, and it is your responsibility to protect them from harm, teach them about the world around them, teach them how to care for themselves properly and how important it is to be caring and kind to other people in this world also. It is a long-term commitment, it isn’t easy, it isn’t glamorous, and for much time it will require self-sacrifice, selflessness and determination. Yet, even with all of that included (and those are actually key elements of why this next statement is true): it is THE BEST thing that can happen to you when you humbly learn to give everything you have for their benefit-your love, your money, all of your time-yes all: day in day out, sometimes all through the night, year after year staying in it to give them the best you have to give them and when you give them the best you have to give them all those years-YOU are the one that benefits the most from all those years of giving your best to them every day.

Hope

Life is difficult, yet I have hope.

Life without hope of eternal living and a Holy God creator, sustainer, and savior is a lie that robs one of eternal joy.

If someone believes there is no one true God what does their life look like?

Should they treat others kindly and care for those who are not able to care for themselves?

Should they work hard to provide for themselves and others every day of their able-bodied lives?

Does our history prove that humanity in general desires to be honest, hard-working, loving, and caring people?

Or is there proof throughout human history that no one human has ever lived a perfectly honest, hard-working, loving, and caring life?

My hope is not in myself nor in humanity but in the one true God and His word became flesh Jesus Christ who died for my sins.

Words

Words can be put together in truth

Words can be put together in falsehood

With rythme and ryhme, with soothing tones and intonations, words are easy to remember and easy to follow-whether true or false, whether morally edifying or morally corrupting

When spoken by certain people, words are taken in as truth and are regurgitated and emulated as such even when they are full of falsehood.

Truth must be valued more than feelings.

Truth must be valued more than desires.

Truth must be searched out with calculated intentions when there is the ability to put words together based on false feelings, desires and morals.

Truth at the Cross

We must go to the cross to face the truth about who and what we really are as human beings.

It is at the cross where we admit we are sinners who need a savior.

It is at the cross where we begin to submit to the One who died on it to save us from our sins.

He is the One who is, who was, and who is to come.

He was God’s word come in flesh and was the final sacrificial lamb for all man’s sin.

When we finally admit the truth that we by nature are flesh serving, sinful human beings who need Jesus as our Savior and as the Lord of our earthly lives, then we will be able to be transformed into saved human beings who can live serving the Spirit of God living in us rather than serving our sinful flesh.

The Holy Spirit will take over the flesh and a peace that passes all understanding will prevail.

Truth vs. Lie

Lie: Not all humans are equal in value

Truth: Every human being arrived here on Earth the same way-we all arrive here on Earth with the same value which is to be almost completely handicapped-we are 100% incapable of maintaining our own life as a newborn- someone else must provide life giving care to us to survive.

So where along the way do we humans decide that our original inferior state of being (which is equal to us all) changes to superiority over others who are in the process of arriving the same way?

Initial value is all the same for everyone as a newborn- a human in need of life giving care and instruction on how to care for oneself, other humans and their environment. The needs may vary-some will need more care, more instruction than others and possibly for a longer time than others but at the start as a newborn and for many months thereafter-we all 100% rely on others to keep us alive and safe as we cannot do it for ourselves-everyone-not just some-everyone starts off the same way.

Everyone who is born into this world as a handicapped human being then also leaves the Earth at some point also-everyone/all of us-not just some.

So how does one human life predetermine the value of another?

How does one human life say to another-you should not be allowed to begin life here on Earth outside of your mother’s womb (I was allowed to but you are not allowed)?

Run to Thee

I’ve looked at life now for many years
and the truth is that here, there are many tears.
No denying that death and evil are real and are the reason for life’s pain
Wanting for more I ached for something better to attain.
In myself I tried to find what is life sustaining, good and pure.
Fragmented glimpses of these things I found to be sure.
As I searched the Scriptures I found goodness and purity’s true source.
It was here I found that God the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth was and is evil’s only true opposing force.
In response I cling to Him,
In response I repent my sin.
For He is faithful to forgive, and he has promised no more death and no more tears.
How pure, how good, how everlasting is He.
Oh Lord how I need to run to Thee.
